Celebrating 24 years of life!

Woo Hoo, Happy Birthday to Me!
I spent the day receiving cupcakes, a teddy bear, oh and firecrackers (b/c he had no candles) from my boss. I got my favorite fruit drink, called Fuze from Standard, oh and a b-day card that said Happy B-day Daughter from your second Mother. I got lunch from my friend Scottie. I got a fabulous dinner for two with my main squeeze (a.k.a. hubby) at Mike's Tex Mex restaurant....yumyum! Oh, the list goes on and on.
Side note: I got my first baby gift from my friend, Clark (I call him by his last name, it's a military thing). He is also the one who gave us Josh's new car. I do not think I could ask for a better friend.
Josh made and decorated a cute cake for me. I wrote the words, because as most know, Josh does not have the best handwriting. :)
On Saturday, I had a little shindig with some of my closest friends.
Erin, Vanessa, Sean, Scottie, Lance, Noah & Kristen and their kiddos, Clark, Josh, and well...myself.

Vanessa and I.I'd have to say, getting older is starting to become something I really enjoy. I know some people feel otherwise, but I feel like I get a little wiser and find some fabulous friends along the way.

Josh and I are going to be parents!

I'm pregnant!

After taking two at home test....

I then went to the doctor and was tested again only to be told, "Congratulations, you're pregnant!"

Josh and I decided in May to start "trying" to start a family. June was the initial "go" and wah lah, on July 7th, the doctor verified the news!

My Great Grandmother's rocking chair

When we moved to Japan, we originally lived in base housing. Well, unfortunately due to some horrible circumstances, the rocking chair got ruined. It originally had a wicker back and seat, but we had to remove it.

A few weekends ago, Josh fixed it with wood slats. I think my husband is definitely a handy man and am amazed at how great the chair looks!

Not Me! Monday! 20 June 2009

So, here goes my second Not Me! Monday post...

My ID card was not about to expire and I did not tell the man who made the ID card that my first picture was completely horrible (leaving me looking like I had no eyebrows). Hmmm...however, this guy must be a professional photographer because well if I did have to get a new ID, then he certainly would have taken the best pic so far. Then my husband couldn't pick on me anymore for having a horrible picture. :)

Side note to give clarification(and it is not a Not Me!): My husband picks on me, but I have to say the first pic was taken the day after we got married, so I say, you married that! LOL!

I did not see the new Harry Potter movie in English with Japanese subtitles. Oh this life I love so much in Japan.

I certainly did not tell my boss that I did not feel like doing something because the program I had to use was super slow. No never me, I always follow orders from my boss because after all he is the one who decides to pay me or not.

I have not been going to bed at 9pm because that is just way too early for someone so young!

Oh, and my birthday is not in 3 days....but if it was, I would def ask for some cake!

Hmmm, to begin my first Not Me! Monday! post, where should I begin....

Okay let's start out with how I totally did not find out some of the best news that is still not a secret.

I did not whine and whine when I gave blood for the needle did not hurt one bit, no never me!

I did not baby sit my friend's children on Saturday so her and her husband could go on a date, and did not count down until they would arrive home.

I did not ask my husband a million and one questions about random things that probably make absolutely no sense, no not me!

I did not have to say goodbye to my best friend that lives in Japan because she is not moving.

I did not smile instead of cry when we did not say goodbye, because my husband totally did not bet me a shopping spree for smiling instead of crying!
